Boys v Packers..... Must see 2017



          Cowboys fans always expect the most of their team. Yes, we may be looking at our team through blue and silver colored glasses. Doesn’t change the fact that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. The NFL network recently did their top one hundred player rankings (based on the players opinion), and the Cowboys had seven players on that list. If you do the math, the Cowboys accounted for 7% of the player on the list! Only one of those seven players came from the defensive side of the ball. That is also 32% of the Cowboys starting depth chart (22 players). It’s easy to see why the Cowboys fan base is so excited.
          After a very successful 2016 season the expectations are, sky-high for this year’s Cowboys team. Dak and Zeke are going into their second season. The Cowboys had a very solid offseason, and they will be returning all the same players on the offensive side of the ball. This success has also garnered them the first place schedule for the NFC East. That means the Cowboys will be playing the first place teams of the NFC Conference from last season. We are going to see many good matchups with the Cowboys. Which should equate to some very entertaining football this season. There is one matchup that I’m most excited to see and that’s the one against the Green Bay Packers!


          The Cowboys and Packers have had some very recent history. In 2014 the Packers put the Cowboys out the playoffs in the divisional round. This was the Dez Bryant catch or no catch game. The Cowboys were able to beat the Packers in the regular season in 2016 but when the games matter most, the Packers have had the Cowboys numbers.

          The Packers ended the Cowboys season last year in the divisional round of the playoffs. The rookie quarterback Dak Prescott lead the Cowboys to a game tying field goal late in that game before Aaron Rodgers made an amazing throw to put the Packers in position to win the game on a field goal. That game left a sour taste in the mouths of Cowboys fans and I want to see how these Boys respond. I want to see that this game left a sour taste in their mouths as well. I hate to play the, “they should have won game;” because there are games that the Cowboys won that they could’ve lost. This game was a very hard fought game that came down to one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history making one of the greatest throws in history. When they meet October 8, 2017, I expect fireworks.

            Game day is here! The Cowboys will be taking on the Packers, today, at 4:15 pm EST. This is a big game for the Cowboys. It’s a chance to get back on the winning path. Much has been made about the Packers, mostly because they have the best quarterback in the game, Aaron Rodgers. Outside of Rodgers this Packers team is mediocre. The Time is now Defense!

            The time is now for the Dallas Cowboys! I’m not going to diminish how important Zeke Elliot is to the success of this Cowboys team. The reality is that he is probably going to serve this six game suspension at some point. Even if he pushes it back a week or two, the NFL is going to win. Personally, I would like to see him serve the suspension now because the team appears to be gelling together. They are more equipped now after a two game win streak, to make a run at Philly for the division lead. What has to happen for the Cowboys to keep the season trending upward?             The Dallas Cowboys are in a perfect position after 8 weeks. Their record sits at 4-3 and they didn’t look good the first five games of the season. Since the week six bye week the Cowboys have been playing amazing. Say what you want about the quality of opponent, there aren’t many great teams in the league anyways...

The Cowboys will be figure out..... Stop it!

                             When you’re America’s team (say what you want about it) there will always be hate surrounding you. The hates comes from the love that so many people have for the Dallas Cowboys. Either that or they have beaten your favorite team in route to five super bowl championships. So either you love the Cowboys or you love to hate the Cowboys, which ever one it is, you have some love for the Cowboys.             I would like to take time to address the Stephen A Smith’s of the world. The haters that love to spout out that “the Cowboys will find a way to mess it up”, or “they’re a disaster waiting to happen.” Tony Romo breaking a bone in his back isn’t considered a disaster waiting to happen.
