Amari Cooper?

When will this rollercoaster ride end Cowboy Nation? Just when it “appeared” as if the Dallas Cowboys could turn the corner on their season. They go to Landover MD and lay an egg!
I'm not talking about their usual bad performances. When the offense looks terrible for 3 quarters only to try and save the day in the 4th quarter. I'm talking about playing for first place in the division, and having 7 points through 3 quarters terrible.
Fans can't seem to crack the enigma that is the Dallas Cowboys offense. I have news for you neither can the Cowboys front office. In an attempt to “try” and save the season, the Cowboys acquire Amari Cooper…………. That loud crashing sound was me falling out the chair laughing at this. You're team is falling apart at the seams and the only thing you can think of is grabbing headlines, Jerry. Really? That had to be the only reason they made this trade.
What is Amari Cooper going to do that these other bum receivers can't do? Does Jerry Jones think that he's DeAndre Hopkins? More importantly if you can't figure out creative ways to get Zeke the ball, and he is usually 5-7 yards away from itl. How in the hell are you gonna scheme to get Amari Cooper the ball way out on the boundaries?
Amari Cooper was never the answer to the Cowboys offensive issues. Firing Scott Linehan is! This offense lacks creativity. They also can't seem to consistently do what worked the previous week. There weren't any zone reads or design QB runs. I haven't seen a screen pass in about 3 weeks. Deonte Thompson is still running deep comeback routes. Geoff Swaim and Rico Gathers continue to be under utilized. Even though these WRs are completely ineffective. My biggest issue is they fail to make in game offensive adjustments. Did anyone else see that Double move work with Michael Gallup? Only to have them never run it again! Jerry, guess what would have grab more headlines, FIRING SCOTT LINEHAN!!!!
The concept of Amari Cooper is a good one. Find a young WR that has talent to see if it's possible to strike the iron while it's hot. The problem is it cost you a 1st round pick. I still think they could have went and got Kevin White from the Bears or Devontae Parker from the Dolphins for a lot less. The rest of this year will be spent getting Dak ready for next season. Get comfortable with Dak Cowboy nation. This latest move all but stamped that he will be the QB for the foreseeable future.

Marinelli..... Keep being special!

It was a time not so long ago when Jason Hatcher had a pro bowl season with 11 sacks. Hatcher was probably the last dominate pass rusher for the Dallas Cowboys. Since joining the team in 2013 Rob Marinelli has been the leader of the “JAG” (Just A Guy) committee, when it comes to pass rushers. He’s had some solid linemen, but none has been special. That probably will not change much this upcoming season.                 Drafting Taco Charlton was taking a position of need. Was he the best player available at his position? Only time will tell. Can he step in week one and be the pass rusher the Cowboys hope he can be? We will just have to wait in see. There are many questions surrounding Charlton, and he play was have to answer them. The consensus is that Charlton is a very talented but inconsistent player. He has shown flashes of being special at the collegiate level. The problem with that is if you’re inconsistent in college, you may struggle in the pros. The player

We need you Dez!!!!!

With all the great and exciting new things going on with the Dallas Cowboys, its easy to forget about the great things they’ve had. The Cowboys have a great young nucleus but they also have some really good veteran pieces as well. Sean Lee made his first all-pro team last season and is considered one of the best linebackers in football. Jason Witten will retire as one of the best tight ends to ever play this game. Then that leads me to Dez Bryant, the “X-factor”. Since coming into the league in 2010 you have amazed Cowboys fans with your brilliant showcase of physical attributes.  Your body control, leaping ability, and overall physicality is second to none. The last two years have been tough on you health wise but this team will need you in order to make a super bowl run.             All great offenses usually have a good to great quarterback, a good to great running back, and a good great wide receiver. Dak is going into his second season and time will tell how go

Calling on General Garrett

I have written a number of blog post about what we, as fans, expect from the players on this Cowboys team. Now let’s put some responsibility at the feet of Jason Garrett. In order for the Dallas Cowboys to make the jump to being a championship team they will need an A+ effort from their General. Jason Garrett is coming off an amazing season with the Dallas Cowboys  which lead to him receiving the coach of the year award. He was able to guide his team to a 13-3 record, a division title, and the best record in the NFC. They eventually lost to the Packers in the divisional round, but the Cowboys still had a good season. I still don’t think we have seen the best of Garrett’s coaching abilities. Since the three straight seasons going 8-8 from 2011-2013, Garrett has been an above average coach. It should be mentioned that in those three season the Cowboys playoff chances can down to the last game of the season. Some people blame Romo for those loses and some blame
